Naca Midsummer Guide
2025The visual identity for NACA bridges the gap between Nordic and American cultures through references that feel meaningful to people in Nordic culture, yet exciting and fresh to people in American culture.
The closed-eye logo references the Norse mythological tale of Odin sacrificing an eye for knowledge. The die-cut brochure is hand-painted in gouache, inspired by the Swedish kurbits painting style, and later digitized for print. The brochure has a background of midnight sunlight, and flowers referencing the Midsummer tradition of celebrating growth, sun, and nature.
